ProcureMed is an app designed for the medical sector that helps hospitals analyze and optimize their procurement and spending processes. The idea came from our own experience: we provide outsourced procurement services to hospitals and have access to their purchasing data, which allows us to compare and analyze their performance side by side.
When we looked at similar companies in the U.S., we saw that many used dedicated platforms to manage their procurement workflows more efficiently - identifying spending patterns, highlighting savings opportunities, and preventing over-expansion. Meanwhile, we were still using Excel and Google Sheets, which quickly became limiting as our data grew.
That’s how the idea for ProcureMed was born. The app gives hospitals the ability to analyze their procurement activity, track purchases and expenses, and compare their data against anonymized benchmarks, such as industry averages or best-case scenarios. It also helps them understand why prices have changed, view historical trends, and evaluate their performance in context - ultimately empowering them to make smarter, data-driven decisions.
At this stage, the app doesn’t include any third-party integrations - mainly because it’s designed to complement, not replace, existing ERP systems. Every clinic already has its own ERP, and our platform provides additional tools to analyze the data from those systems.
When a clinic joins, they upload their procurement data - purchases, product types, etc. in Excel or CSV format. Our app processes that data and provides actionable insights: where they might be overspending, where savings are possible, and how they compare to similar clinics.
The app focuses on two core analytics features:
Historical analysis: Clinics can review their monthly and yearly procurement and spending trends.
Relative price analysis: They can track product price and usage changes over time and benchmark their costs against anonymized market data.
With thousands of products and transactions happening every month, it’s easy to miss inefficiencies. ProcureMed helps clinics spot issues sooner, streamline their operations, and ultimately save both time and money.
For the first months, we’re keeping it internal, offering it only to our current customers. This gives us room to test, collect feedback, and refine the product.
After that, the plan is to open it up to other hospitals in the local market, even if they’re not our clients for procurement services. Expanding internationally is also on our roadmap, but that will likely happen in about two years.
I had a rough idea of the product, but since we hadn’t built anything similar before, we needed a partner who could help us shape and structure it.
We contacted 10-20 companies in Georgia, shared our roadmap, and met with a few to discuss technical details. Budget alignment was important, but so was finding a team with a strong understanding of the product and process.
With most companies, one or two meetings were enough to get a sense of fit. But with Redberry, we ended up having about 10 meetings - and lots of back-and-forth in between. That process proved very valuable. We clarified many important details during those discussions, and it became clear that Redberry had a much deeper understanding of the product than anyone else we spoke to.
We were also aligned on budget, so choosing Redberry felt like a natural decision.
Very smooth and structured. Before development started, we worked closely with your team to define the app’s structure and align on the design direction.
Once we moved into development, everything followed a predefined plan. I stayed very involved, especially through weekly meetings where we reviewed progress, discussed features, and made adjustments.
The collaboration lasted about 20-30 weeks, and everything was delivered on time.
The team adapted quickly and effectively to any new technical requirements that came up during development, which made the process even smoother.
Redberry fully met our expectations. The functionality is exactly what we hoped for, and everything works as it should.
Since this was a technical project, we didn’t have many specific design requirements, but the app is very smooth and intuitive to use. All features are clear and easy to understand. We’re very satisfied with the outcome.
International expansion is part of our long-term vision, but it’s not the current priority. Right now, we’re focused on delivering the best possible service to the hospitals we already work with.
Once we’ve refined the product and built a strong local foundation, we plan to offer it to new clients and clinics in the broader market.
