Hosting the First Official Laravel Meetup in Georgia

We hosted the first official Laravel Meetup in Georgia, bringing together more than 100 attendees for an evening dedicated to Laravel, engineering, and community.

For the local developer ecosystem, this was an important milestone. Georgia has a growing community of engineers working with Laravel in real production environments, but until now, there had not been an official meetup dedicated to bringing that community together.

The event created a space for developers to learn from each other, meet people working with the same technology, and connect with the broader Laravel ecosystem.

The meetup featured talks from Revaz Ghambarashvili, Irakli Shengelia, and Harris Raftopoulos, covering topics such as AI agents in Laravel, scalability, and writing more reliable Laravel code with value objects.

The meetup marked an important milestone for Georgia’s Laravel community: a dedicated space to learn, connect, and grow together.

Those topics reflected where the ecosystem is heading: more intelligent applications, more scalable systems, and stronger engineering patterns for building products that can grow over time.

The event was also covered by Laravel News, helping bring more visibility to Georgia’s growing Laravel community.

After the talks, the conversations continued in Redberry’s courtyard with snacks, drinks, and community merch. The event brought together people from different companies, backgrounds, and experience levels, all connected by the same framework and the same interest in building better software.

For us, hosting this meetup was a natural continuation of our relationship with Laravel. We use the framework extensively in our Laravel development work, train new developers through our Laravel + React Bootcamp, contribute to open-source tools, and actively support Laravel events internationally.

Bringing an official Laravel Meetup to Georgia was another step in that direction.
